I am looking for a replacement for a DATACOM LANcat. It's 25 years old and the user says it doesn't do all the stuff a modern tester does. Appearantly, these things can be quite shockingly expensive. Does anyone know of a unit that does all the tests and won't break the bank? Any help greatly appreciated.

What tests are you actually looking for? The original LANcat did tests at 100MHz, obviously no good for validating crosstalk/delay/skew/attenuation/etc. on CAT7+ 10Gbps cabling, but then you are into some serious money (Fluke @ >£10k!)
