Hi everyone,
I'm currently repairing and experimenting with a Bose A20 headset and I'm trying to find the closest possible replacement for the original ANR microphone capsule.
Bose does not publish any specifications or part numbers for this component, so I'm hoping to gather information from people who have experience with A20 repairs, reverse engineering, or ANR modifications.
Has anyone here tested different electret microphone capsules in the Bose A20 and found a model that performs close to the original in terms of ANR behavior?
I'm especially interested in:
Knowles capsules
Primo capsules
PUI Audio capsules
CUI Devices capsules
Any other low-noise electret microphones used in ANR or measurement applications
I'm not just looking for something that works electrically. My goal is to find the closest match to the original capsule in terms of noise cancellation stability, sensitivity, and overall ANR performance.
Any part numbers, measurements, or hands-on repair experience would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
