Hello, I have 3 Raidmax led fans for my pc case. I don't have controller and mobo doesn't have right connectors. I did purchase a COOLMOON RGB CONTROLLER, and also a JST 2.0 crimp tool and connectors. I swapped connectors so fan could plug into COOLMOON WIRE FOR WIRE. These fans have LEDs around the circumference. When powered up, the Leds lit up Brite white. could not control color. Fan blades not spinning. I had read somewhere Raidmax fans only work with Raidmax controllers. Anyone hear this?

 

It all depends on the fan's construction and the type of LEDs used. I looked on their site for some clues and found in general there isn't enough information to be able to say for sure what is happening.

Most likely you will need some form of controller from them to make it work. It looks like some of the fans are BLDC motors which will take some form of controller, and others may be variable speed based on a PWM signal which will also take some form of PWM to make it work.
