Hi everyone,

I am looking for the scematic of the RAIDMAX ATX12V AT2005b 380W Power Supply.

Inadvertently, I shorted the green wire to a live ground. Sparks occurred on the board around 470u 16v capacitor. I replaced it but othe components may have been destroyed.

The item with a check mark has been checked or replaced.

2- Somebody knows what is the value of the fuse?

1- Somebody knows what is the type (transistor?) of the #1 component ? It exploded and I can only see the numbers 80. Is ir a transistor, a voltage reference, ?

Any clue is welcomed.

Greetings,

JPD

On any 12V ATX form factor PSU the Green wire (20 or 24 pin connector) is PS_ON and shorting it to any Black (Common) wire should force start the PSU. I have no clue what a "live ground" is but I can tell you that you will never likely find a schematic for that PSU. They simply are not published. A Google of "ATX PSU schematic diagram" is about as good as it gets and if you look at the images they are all pretty similar.

You also want to keep in mind that where AC mains come in, there is normally a full wave bridge rectifier followed by a few filter caps. That part of the circuit charges to a pretty high DC peak value. Note the working voltage rating of the caps. Get a hand on there and it will ring your bell. Personally I would chalk this up to a learning curve, remove and replace.
