How to design a circuit that generates a square wave after 2 micro seconds and we can also regulate the pulse width?we can't use any ic except a 741 op amp.
This is a college project I have searched for a circuit to introduce time delay in the signal but can't understand what is the logic and I know that a square wave generator using op amp is required but the other two criteria are a bit difficult for me please if you can give any idea how to get the time delay and regulate the pulse width, help me .

1) This is Homework Help. We don't do your homework.

2) This is from a project list. What have you learned from your courses that will guide you through your project?

3) "Please help" as a thread title really sucks. Can't you think of a better title?

I have to hand it to these professors coming up with projects that are difficult to "Google" a completion on. It's good to see people just as warped as I am are teaching, in the words of Joe Pesci, our YOOTS.

EDIT: Nevermind, found everything with one Google search :(

Break the problem into smaller parts. You claim you can do the square wave generator. Now:
  • Create a delay circuit
  • Modify the square wave generator for different pulse width. This is tough for anyone here to help with since you never posted the circuit with your op-amp square wave generator.
Combine the 3 parts and iron out the issues that are bound to crop up.

OK I have found what I am searching for in a book.
Do you understand it? I played with the circuit and there were some interesting interdependence that cropped up. Might want to understand the circuit before tossing it at your professor. He might get sneaky and ask about the RC ratios in a "real world" circuit vs simulation.
