Hi there im currently making a project, Where i Wanna build a DLP 3d printer. I dissasembled my dlp projector and ran Into this Connector. I have never seen it before and i have searched the internet thin! As you can see its a 118 pin Connector splitted as 34, 74, 118. I Need a Ribbon for it as the component Need to be placed Away from the other. 20180301_223519.jpg

Hi Eric! thank you very much!
Guess i should have formulated my question a little different. I know its an edge connector, its the type i im questioning. the 118 pin divided in 3 sections i simply cant find it anywhere. i need a "ribbon" of that type but i guess i just doesnt exist. do you know a way around it?
Kind regards

hi T,
The 3 sections are there to ensure that the connectors are polarised for insertion.
If the pitch between the gold flashed edge pads are consistently spaced on the same pitch, which they appear to be.?
You could use a full length edge connector of 118+ pins and get some polarising pins and insert them in the socket at the appropriate point.

Do you follow that OK.

Design/purchase your own card edge to whatever adapter PCB..

You "might" be able to cobble up a setup with 2 zif type ribbon cables and a spacer in between that you do a glue up/laminate job on to hack it..

hi T,
If you count the number of pins on one side of the edge connectors they are not 118 pins wide.
Its a double sided 118/2
Measure the pitch on the connector pins, it looks more than 1mm to me.

One of the largest card edge connector manuf I have used is Edac, if you need the card slot you could possible make it up from 3 separate Edac units.
