Please help me figure out who makes this connector. It does not seem to be Molex or JST. It came out of a 2014 product so it is probably still in production.

Has markings YH and A on the locking tabs.

I think you can likely find a replacement more easily than finding the original, which might have been sourced out of China or wherever.

 

I have not tried that approach yet. My concern is if it will fit the mating connector. This is from an LG product. Most of the other connectors are Molex. The connector on the other end of the cable in the pictures is a Molex. I would think they would stick with a name brand, but who knows.

In that case is it possible that Molex supplied the entire assembly, two connectors with wire in between?

 

It is possible and it could be a custom part. I have scoured the Molex website with no luck . I will post a pic of the mating connector.

This is the mating connector. It looks to be a glass filled plastic. No visible markings and since it is a SMD part, I prefer to not remove it unless I have to.


Well I have found the manufacturer Yeonho. Now I just need to find the part and a supplier.
