Play MP3 sounds for cornhole game

I have currently setup a Bluetooth receiver powered by a 12v power supply. The receiver is hooked to a small speaker under my cornhole board and when someone wins, I play the schools fight song thru my phone.

I would like to have a setup where a USB or SD card plays the song once via a button a person can push on the side of the board.

I would also like it to play one other sound when some one scores (thinking some sort optical eye). I’m very new to this and have been picking around and can’t seem to find a board that can accomplish this. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Let me know if you need me to post my current components.

Thanks!

There are a couple of approaches that I have used that may give you some ideas.

The first is one of these https://www.ebay.com/itm/5PCS-GPD28...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649. Very inexpensive and very easy to use. Look around for some docs and examples, such as here https://circuitdigest.com/electronic-circuits/diy-mp3-player-circuit-diagram. These boards were also discussed in this thread https://forum.allaboutcircuits.com/threads/need-help-activating-an-mp3-with-a-pir.156895/.

I am actually impressed by the boards. Cheap, but they work. No need for a micro, if you do not want to use one. Copy the mp3 onto the SD and you are good to go with some simple support. Not so easy to select specific mp3 files though.

Another possibility is to used one of these WT588D https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-WT588D...Downloader-VoiceChip-WT588D-16P-/152214856181 They are significantly more difficult to figure out, but once you do, it is easy to program several tunes.

Also, the general topic was discussed in this earlier thread which may also give you some ideas https://forum.allaboutcircuits.com/threads/need-a-sound-player-to-embed-in-a-stuffed-toy.142194/

Hope it helps.
