Rode my Honda 750 Chopper from Key West, FL to San Diego,CA while changing duty stations. Built that bike at the base aircraft maint shop with a few friends in the 70's.
Only picture I have of me on that trip, taken by a fellow biker.
I like the rake, to many people went way to long which puts them in dangerous or hazardous situations, attempting to avoid things on the road or worse other vehicles. I like Honda and Yamaha over Harley. My 1100cc virago is stock rake, it handles so well as it's balance is better than others I've rode. I like Honda Bobbers and Cafe Racers, they're easy to convert.

Rode last weekend and suffering a sinus infection from all the fires and flora. Do you still have the bike?

When I left my San Diego house to move to Oregon the bike was still running but I left it for the new owners.

That's great, do you mind if I live in your old housing. Collecting things like vintage bikes would add to my overall collections.

Do you play guitar, my wife wants me to stop purchasing them, I'll need a room to warehouse them along with added humidity level adjuster.

How thick are the cables that are supporting that rail cars?
They are 10-MT SWL (single pull) soft (fiber) eye-eye slings. (Cars are 21 MT). Stevedores love them. Light, easy to handle and as long you comply with few precautions, lasting for long time.

Some years ago I proposed the Owner of this company to replace all steel wires (cables) to soft slings. They agreed and everybody is very happy since then.

So those are what? About six inches wide?

How big are the bolts on those shackles? Looks like something between 1" and 2" diameter?

Diameter is 6" IIRC. A loose / flabby bunch of fibers jacketed with a resistant fabric makes of it, just a nominal value.

For 17-MT shackles, IIRC, pin diameter is 32 mm. According to shape it could vary.

EDIT/ Diameter corrected / EDIT
