PC board layout question - Sequential LED

I am trying to make a sequential LED flasher that has 5 LED's that bounces back on its self. What I mean to say is... if L1, L2, L3, L4, L5, are the LED's I want the sequence to be 1,2,3,4,5,5,4,3,2,1.

I am basing the copperlayout design on a flasher of 10 LED's 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 and thought that combining the appropriate outputs off off the 4017 IC would make it work. I do my copper layout design on MS Paint ( yeah I know its archaic) and then a print and etch technique.

Can anyone help?

You may want to take a look at the freeware version of Eagle PCB at www.cadsoft.de. It has a schematic capture utility and a router that has limitation but it should prove more than adequate for you project.
