Ahh right. It's an older model. This is for the newest model BMS used in the new tandemkinetics.tech products.
It was worth a try, thanks for your help. I will probably fit a JK BMS, I have several working well and they have an effective active balance integrated.

Hi All , I wandered if you could possibly help me with a protocol issue? I have a Sunwise 48V Lithiumf batt with a Pace 15s BMS. I have a MppSolar 5048MGX inverter. I have connected the pc to BMS via serial adapter to rs232. In the PBMSTools for changing protocol, the Inverter Protocol in the BMS shows "Paceic" , but none of the software's will allow me to change it. They all pop up with "Write Error" . I have also tried the other PBMSTools which allows you to see and adjust parameters and tried to change the protocol in "System Config" , but the same problem, same error. The Battery Manufacturer were supposed to install MPPSolar protocol which I supplied them with from MPPSolar, however they claim that the default protocol is PYLONTECH. I have tried making a number of cables using the pinout supplied by both parties but only get Fault 61 " non Communication " Have you any idea on how to change the inverter protocol in the upper computer of the BMS so the inverter can talk to the battery via RS485? I would appreciate any help on this as the manufacturer is not helping so much. Cheers

Below I attached three pieces different type and different model PACE BMS. All BMS are have only RS485 and RS232 communication port. Not have any CAN port. I want to communicate this BMS with my inverter but the inverter does not support RS485 communication, only "CAN", and the communication protocol must be PYLON protocol. Is this possible to change or modify the protocol system by upgrading firmware or any others solutions?
Please help!!
Thanks in advance.

I may have a fix to your issue. I got a system from Tandem Kinetics and it uses a pace bms. I ran into a similar issue. I contacted them and they provided the upgrade file. I connected to Rs232 and used the file they sent. As soon as it was done uploading, the system came back on.
Hi, kindly share the cable you used for this BMS. I wish to use connect my battery using old BMS to Solar Assistant. The cable required is USB to RJ45 using RS232. The pin out of the RJ45 would be very appreciated. Thanks.

The BMS shut down during the firmware upgrade, but actually the upgrade didn't start. after selecting the new firmware file, and click start, the update tool reported error like fail to communicate with MCU (master control unit ). then I found the BMS power LEDs are all off. ( it was on normally). The button to startup/shutdown the BMS can't startup the BMS anymore. The interesting thing is that the small display screen still has power and shows voltage parameters, but all values are 0. Normally, if the BMS is off, the screen should also be off . The whole BMS looks between on and off status.
This BMS has 2 main chips, one is the Panasonic battery cell monitoring chip, another is an ST embedded ARM processor (stm32h725vgt6), I found this processor has built in Flash memory and DRAM. kind of SOC.
See picture below , If I put a voltage > 15V to the B+ and B-, the small display screen will be powered up. and a small DC to DC converter component is also working (mornsun b1205s-1wr2, 12v to 5v). By default, if the BMS if off power and put power on, the screen should has no power, now it has 12V and lighted up. normally it should only have power after I long press the power button(marked as reset button which powers on/off the board by long pressing). I suspect some MOS component could be broken down because it always directly powers up part of the circuit (display power), but I check some MOS on the board, looks normal. Also I checked ST SOC, it has 3.3v VDD on, but not running because checked with thermo-detector, it was not warmed.
Any ideas?
