Yea, prom's a huge deal, especially to highschool girls, who are all convinced it's the most important night in all of history and if it's not perfect the planet might blow up or something.

We kind of have similar things here - school balls where the girls get their parents to fork out hundreds of dollars for a dress, shoes, bag, hair-do while the guys get nervous and calculate how many beers they can have without risking their chances of "having any fun" on the night.

LOL no, I have about 80 drawn and about 100-ish to go, I would really like to make a book of them for folks to enjoy. I'm not going to get rich off it (certainly not off selling t-shirts!) but it's still fun so I'll keep doing it.

Whats the drinking age there?

 

It's 18 at the moment. It's quite a problem at time.

I used to be responsible of course, when I was that age, but now it's not uncommon at 1am to see girls, probably only 16 or 17, drunk as anything, wandering around the streets. Usually they're wearing dresses marginally longer than vests and tottering around in ridiculously high heels - barely able to stand, let alone walk. It's quite a problem for them - and would you believe - motorists in the city. Some of the young 'ladies' can get quite aggro after a few beers and will stick a stiletto into your car door if you look at them the wrong way.

Guys are just at bad, but most swap the heels and bling for jeans and condoms.

Ah, it was different when I was young *sigh*
