I think the only place you are wrong is the "turning into" part.

Football fell apart a while back, and is now in the final death throes. The same things used to happen, just not as obvious and clearly. Now they don't even try to hide it, so it gets noticed more.

Nascar give there drivers the green lite to start pushing
other car out of the race, they needed more excitement.
The N.F.L. must be paying alot for the injuries of the high
price players they have developed. Now it is bitting them with
insurance cost. I see a good future for N.F.L. as long as you
get the long amazing passes by the wide receivers. Money to
bet may be a problem now, maybe guys are robbing to pay there
bookie, its hard to beat that spread.

Why do so many games come down to the last 2 minutes?

Years ago, the draft and free-agency rules were designed in part to promote parity between the teams. Maybe some of the methods used by WWF are being used too. Consider the Cleveland Clowns beating New England. Was that planned in advance? Did New England pull its punches? It was kind of like watching the eventual winner of a WWF match get beat up in the early going.

In America, you have your own game of football... (not like ours)

In the UK there is similar discourse, but I don't follow it much.

I think you mean the United States. ;) Mexico, Canada, Brazil, and all the others play football with a round ball. In the United States, we call that soccer.

John
Naw, we got the CFL and they play with an prolate spheroid made of pigskin just like the NFL. The round ball stuff is called soccer up here too.

Florida and Vegas has open gamling rules, a lot more states plus Internet,
but you still have the local bookies. They don't care If your credit cards are max"ed, you
have to use your food money to pay them ,Its part of that unwritten stuff that
most people don,t understand. The unwritten stuff is in fiance, unions, sports, courts
and all things where money Is ,we had a scam in fla,the scamster got life, the
guy that he went in to Govt. hidding from got a couple of years. On appeal he
will be back with his family, the judges have family and heirs to protect. The other
will continue untill 2012,the end of time.

That seems to take zero tolerance a bit far. Maybe the official had money on the Chargers? Unfortunately, we don't know what the audio would have shown.

That was a "in your face" push-off and that ref is a hot head. It's like taking a swing at a cop who's breaking up a fight, you might get manners lesson in a "hard and painful" way.

What the movie "The Last Boy Scout" with Bruce Willis. It is from a while back (90s?) and mentions how free agents ruined the game, and more. Of course, it's wrapped up in a big action movie too. :D

There is nothing new under the sun.
