I have a blown diode and am trying to find a new one.

It's a motorola ZP 4006 9715

But I don't seem to be able to find a replacement or equiv online anywhere with the same numbers. It's about ten years old

Thanks for your time great sages of electronics :)

Hello,

Can you make a photo of it and post it here?
It could be that the 9715 is a date code and the diode is an 1n4006.
In what application is it used?

Greetings,
Bertus

Hmm I'm new at posting pics.
Let me see here hmmmm.

D17 is the one thats shot.

It controls a electric motor that runs a hydraulic pump on a sailboat.

Hello,

They look all very much the same.
You can read on some 1N 4006.

The 9715 is a date code, they are produced in week 15 of 1997.

Greetings,

Thanks so much! I thought the 1N was IN.

Now if I can find somewhere where I don't need to buy a 1000 when I only need two.
