New Batteries For EV's

I've said it before here: there are plans for massive battery installations under cities to store energy (at the point of load) to back up renewable power systems.

What could possibly go wrong?
Battery companies that sell batteries for pacemakers will go out of business. With all the battery power under everyone, they won't need 'em anymore :)

You're right ... maybe they're trying to impress people by using jargon that they don't understand themselves. ... OTH, can't the process involve both stages?

Literally, no.

The solidification process can be either the result of a phase change or a chemical reaction. It cannot be both.

Words mean things.
