I am new to this forum and i need some help with this mosfet ,X12SL MOSFET , 2D150C
i have been looking all over google looking for a replacement mosfet, but i cannot find any for sale unless i buy in bulk,
I hope this is the right forum for this question, can i use a different mosfet type (a more common one) that will work
the board number PS65R14VAI if that helps ..

 

Evidently a Sauna board, what is the load it is switching, a element?
Shouldn't be at all critical.
The 2D number is a bridge rectifier.

just to let everone know i am a newbie at Electronics ,
when i was testing the mosfit with a multimeter all i was reading was O,L on all 3 pins but i thought it was a standard
mosfet D,G,S , so sorry i dont know the load switching , its the only mosfet that was giving me strange reading.

I could not find any info on that MOSFET's characteristics (not even its polarity) and so we need to know something about what the MOSFET does before we can suggest a replacement.

I am having the same problem with sauna power supplies S-60-12 and S-60-12L. Yes 2 power supplies I've been thru with the exact same problem and same component X12SL. Has anyone found an equivalent replacement? It's a 125VAC to 12VDC 5A ouput that powers LED lights, 2 touchscreen control panels (membrane pushbutton type) radio and speakers. It worked for years and then pow. The 2nd power supply blew as soon as it was connectd and turned on so something on the 12V side is shorted. Fuse is ok on AC side.
