Hi,

looking for some advice on how to power this please . I need a thin, flat power source (an AA battery is too thick), but not a rechargeable battery due to the issues with mailing them. I would like to use the button battery holder photographed below (holds 2xCR2032 batteries) but the 6v is too high for the board. Any suggestions would be very greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

NOTHING in that description mentions the current draw. The operating current is handy to know to help with choosing the power supply. A guess is that since the output is claimed to be up to one watt, that works out to be 200 milliamps at 100% efficiency.

Do you already have this device? Or are you just considering it? The advertisement seems to very deliberately have left out information

CR2032 x 2 cells will be short-lived. They have a capacity of 220mAh, that's measured down to 2v at 200uA load. Their maximum useful output current is only a few tens of milliamps due to their high internal resistance, which rapidly increases from around 10 ohms to >200 ohms at 30% capacity, so at 20mA continuous output their useful life is around 1 - 2hours. Depends what your use case is.

It is not likely that any small battery will be able to power that system for a useful length of time. I suggest evaluating other options than having the battery with the PCB.
Of Course, since we have no hint as to the application, providing any useful suggestions is difficult.
