A, B and C can do a piece of work in 20, 30 and 60 days respectively. In how many days can A do the work if he is assisted by B and C on every third day?

So the (effective) fraction of work performed each day = A's share +1/3 B&C share =1/20 +(1/30/1/60)/3 = 1/15

RRITESH KAKKAR It is like a is always on the job so gets his 1/20 of the work done each day but b & c bumming around 2 out of three days so both of them together average only 1/60 of the work each day! So it takes all three of them a whole 15 days to finish project! Now I'm saying if b&c worked for me they'd get the sack!

A is thrice as good as workman as B and therefore is able to finish a job in 60 days less than B. Working together, they can do it in:
