Found a motor in my garage know absolutely nothing about it, it has what appears to be a serial number on the side but couldn’t find anything when googling it. Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

 

The 120 V 60 Hz stamped on the motor is a really big clue.

The 8193 is probably a date code. Built in the 81st week of 1993.

 

It looks like a series wound (Universal) motor so it would probably also work with DC.

As per Les, if it has brushes it is a Universal, otherwise I would say a shaded pole fan motor.

A AC induction motor or Universal motor cannot generate of its own accord.
You require some kind of field, either of a P.M. nature or from a powered field winding.
