MPSD05 G43197B.jpg
I bought another of what seems to not exist. I can't find a data sheet for this one anywhere, MPSA05 is no problem. I can find MPSA55 and compare it to MPSD55. The MPSD55 seems to be rated at lower voltage and wattage. A few other specs differ. Does anybody have a data sheet for MPSD05?

I often pick up parts bought by specs and get manufacturer's house brands. Usually I can cross them to a known part number but this one threw me a curve.

I'll add that to my sources for data sheets.
FWIW, in light of the transitory availability of same, I strongly recommend local archiving of all useful/potentially useful component data when encountered...

About as expected. A downgraded brother of an MPSA05, lower voltage and power. higher Vce sat.
As a point of interest; IIRC the improved characteristics of the MPS-D05 (and its ilk) owe principally to annular design (q.v.) - or, more specifically, to the much touted 'edge leakage mitigation' achieved thereby:cool:

Very best regards

Re: local archiving.
Absolutely do. Most data sheets on components I can get to without going on-line.

Most of the places I worked one objective was to leave behind a database of components, training material and circuits that can be referenced off-line. Most casinos didn't like the techs having WWW access. Managers had it but the techs ended up on too many porn sites or other places they should not be going during work hours. :)

Re: improved characteristics of MPS-D05
It seems to be a downgrade of the MPS-A05.

Larkin' about on the job!?:eek:o_O -- Another illusion shatteredo_O:D

Such lists are a constant struggle.

Such lists are a constant struggle.
For posterity Here's a list of the twelve devices with which I've undertaken exhaustive comparative analysis:

M1104 ≈ MRF247
M9622 = 2N6094
M9623 = 2N6095
M9624 = 2N6096
M9625 = 2N6097
SRF3749 = MRF454

As you may have gleaned from the list -- I’ve salvaged my 'fair share' of Motorola VHF communications equipment (e.g. Mocom, Mirek, etc…);)

Best regards
HP:)
