MOSFET as 13A switch for generator

HI,
my project is PIC based Generator ON OFF switch using a MOSFET, required help about how to connect a MOSFET as 13A switch because i don't want to use relays contact actually i want to separate control signal from generator power specially DC +12V and GND voltages. any helping material or any thread available. required discussing with approved reference of links, circuit or datasheet please.:), please help to find out best way to solve this issue
