heating occurs immediately after plugging into the network, the board immediately begins to heat up, I connect only the power supply from the network, the other connectors are free ... on 20 and 10 legs 5 volts, while the LED is constantly on red
 
Hi guy's I've one of these boards in my treadmill. The problem I have is the treadmill has no power what so ever. Doing some basic diag I get a flicker of the led and 9v at the interconnects to the display. The 9v only stays on for a few seconds. For those with more experience does the led stay lit and do you get stable 5v and 9v outputs

Where are you measuring?
The LED normally comes on permanent 1 sec after switch on, when a track command is issued, it should flash slowly at a constant rate.
On HD2 you should have 12v to 15vdc between 1 & 2. and 5vdc on pins 10 & 20 of the micro processor.

Thanks Max, I've taken the board out of the treadmill so there's nothing attached. Measuring at HD2 pins 1 gnd and pin 2 I briefly get 9v. On the processor only getting 1.2v between pins 10 and 20. The led is not lit. I'm assuming I must have either a short been generated or the feedback to the regulator isnt right. Anyone seen this before
 
The source of the HD2 pin voltages vary with model, they all are LV transformer secondary based, some have the TFMR off-board.
Carfully measure the input and output of the bridge rectifier on the end of the heat sink.
The DC should be around 107VDC.
Just to the right of the HD2 socket there should either be 4 or 2 rectifier diodes, depending on whether it has the LV bridge or the CT transformer type.
