Does anyone know the specs for the speed reference signal for an MC-2000 motor controller. Is it and analog 0-5 signal like the MC-60, or is it a PWM signal like the MC-2100. I've used both the MC-60 and the MC-2100 on some recent projects and I'm familiar with them. I recently acquired an old treadmill with a MC-2000 and I can't seem to find much information on them. Mostly interested in what the speed ref signal is. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have no experience with the MC-2000 but if the output is PWM, then it is likely that the command could be PWM, as the rest of the series.
If you can identify the input, you could try the 20Hz PWM signal as in the MC2100.

Thanks Max. I removed the components from the tread mill and got them on the bench. Looks like its a hybrid. Its an SCR board but with a PWM speed reference. There is a separate "power board" that interfaces to the console. The PWM signal goes thru a 4N35 optocoupler on the power board to the MC2000. When I get some time I'll breadboard a PWM circuit and post my results for future reference if someone else wants to use an MC2000.

I guess the MC2000 was a transitional unit to the MC2100, so had features of both.
The MC2100 also had a opto for the PWM signal into the Micro controller.
