Hello,I am interested to find J1A pin8 in my schematics shown below. The white dot is considered to be pin 1.
Given the location of pin 1 ,how can i find pin 8 of J1A?

Hello, then why in LT1028 the pin order logic is tottaly different as shown below?
That is the typical physical pin order for IC's.
Looking from the top, the top left pin is 1, and the pin order is counterclockwise from there.
Often there is a dot or other mark by pin 1 on the package.

As has been mentioned, manufactures can make up their own pin order and many will have the pin numbers molded into the part if you can find and see them. (they can be very small) Because of what I and others mentioned, I've always said, if you want to screw up a design, put a connector on it. I can't tell you how many times one board has a different pin out than another and they are supposed to connect up correctly and don't. :) Check it and double check it and then do it one more time and take best 2 out of 3. Have fun...

You can verify pin 8 by using a continuity meter to find which connector pin goes to pin 4 of U1.
Based on the schematic, it looks to be a typical odd left and even right as stated in #6 above.
I have seen some where it's 1-10 on left and 11-20 on right so it's always good to verify in case they used a different footprint from the schematic.
