Not sure what you are trying to say here. What does that have to do with the original post? But all of the folks I see using chargers in public areas all look to be about the same age, and dressed in the same style clothes. And not a single one of them looks to be close to even 30. I never see anybody looking to be a bit older charging in public places.
Though it's becoming increasingly difficult to access some services/sites without one.And some of us can manage perfectly well without mobile phones.
????????????????And some of us can manage perfectly well without mobile phones.
Yes one bank I know of would not be able to process a zero interest rate balance transfer without a cell phone in the user's possession.Though it's becoming increasingly difficult to access some services/sites without one.
Yet the most common source of banking fraud is the mobile phone.Yes one bank I know of would not be able to process a zero interest rate balance transfer without a cell phone in the user's possession.
Hey I plug my microwave into a USB C port nowI can't think of any better examples of bloatware than USB. It started off as 4 pins, power and a differential data line. Now it has 24 pins, with the capability of power at several different voltages and several data pairs. It wouldn't surprise me if someone invented a version of USB-C for charging electric vehicles.
Santander Bank locally, does not allow me to enter a new beneficiary of a transfer using homebanking but the app in my mobile. Otherwise I must use an ATM somewhere.Yes one bank I know of would not be able to process a zero interest rate balance transfer without a cell phone in the user's possession.
I love the optimism! "Seamlessly"! Works perfectly until the next software update, or the next revision of the standard. We've been this way before - how many power tool batteries are in landfill because they can no longer negotiate with their chargers? Each device negotiates for the power it needs seamlessly.

I always thought, and still think, that the whole concept of higher voltages on a single connector IS INCREDIBLY STUPID!!! But, as has been stated by a number of folks, and repeated by me as well: "YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID!!" (administrators, please note that I am commenting on an idea, not individuals).I love the optimism! I look at the USB-C plug and I don't see a 5A connector - this is a 5A connector:

I also wonder whether the negotiation for power takes into account the wire gauge, or whether the two devices can negotiate themselves into a cable fire.
And can the 5V device be sent 12V down the cable because of a negotiation failure?
Yes, you're right about being a luddite!

Not calling people names, but rather pointing out that some concepts are very poorly advised.
