Hi, Please refer to the schematic attached. This is shown on the motor itself. Please correct me if I am wrong.
I believe the blue must be the active and black the neutral because the capacitor is across these lines. This is unusual because blue is often neutral. I know there are 3 different speeds for this motor. From the schematic at what points on the inductors would you set the active to get high, medium and low speeds? Or perhaps the neutral line has to be moved? Anybody know? Probably a Chinese made motor not having the same conventions as in Australia.

Is there also a wire commected to the junction of L1 and L4?
That is really only one long inductor on the motor schematic. I just added 2 inductor symbols to show that here there was a longer inductor. Perhaps that means it is a higher rated inductor. The capacitor would be for power factor correction. That is to bring voltage and current into phase as they are normally out of phase in a motor.
