How can we possibly know since you haven't given any clue as to how you are thinking of using it? But I'll go out on a limb here and say that, no, if you set an OR gate somewhere in the house it will not do your work for you.

 

Can the switches be momentary?
Can you use any type of switch?
Can you use logic circuits for this?

Just look up 2way, 3way, 4 way switching or as used in UK, 2 way and intermediate.
No electronics required.

Because he used the word "combinational", I'm pretty sure (not absolutely sure) that this is an introductory-level problem is digital logic design. If so, a no-electronics solution would be a non-starter.
