I do not know if anyone can help me but I wanted to ask.

I have a Document with a lot of Pages with Short Spooky Stories.

Some Pages have 3. Short Spooky Stories.

I set my LibreOffice to Show Page Numbers on all Pages.

Every New Page has a New Page Number I like this.

When I am finished I will put a Table Of Contents on a Page before my First Page.

Can LibreOffice make a Table Of Contents from just me having just the Page Numbers Show?

I do not have Headers and Footers in my Document.

I did watch a lot of Videos on YouTube and just got more confused.

Thank you for all the time and help.

Just showing page numbers is not sufficient to create a table of contents. How is Libre Office supposed to know what to put in the table of contents?

In most word processing programs, you need to tag items that are to be put in the table of contents. How you do this depends on the program being used.

You should consider LaTex, which -- once you understand the syntax -- is designed to automatically create publishing-quality layouts for you. You only need to think about content.

There are many (free) IDE style LaTex editors and compilers. Google them.

The TOC is made from paragraphs that are designated as "Heading 1", "Heading 2", "Heading 3" and so on. This is something you would do in a technical document or speciation. It would be less likely to do it in an anthology of short stories. I'll check to see if I have an example.

ETA: could not find one sorry.
