Is the following antenna isotropic, i.e. receives signals in all directions?

It is said here in the Operating Frequency Table 'isotropic gain', but in the datasheet it doesn't say that the antenna is isotropic.

It is not an isotropic antenna.
An isotopic antenna does not have any gain in any direction.

There is given a gain of 2.5 - 4 dBi (2.5 - 4 dB in relation to the isotopic radiator).
dBi: = Gain of antenna with respect to isotropic antenna given in dB = 10 log (power max / power isotropic)

Could you tell the directions the antenna is pointed to?
It is said there that the antenna's radiation pattern is omni directional, doesn't it mean that it radiates equally in all directions?

If there's antenna with say 8 dBi, does it mean that its reception direction is more narrow than the one with 2dBi?

 

Omnidirectional does mean that it radiates in all directions in a single plane. (If you can see the antenna, it is not an isotrope.) You can verify the omnidirectional attribute yourself with a signal strength meter and some means to rotate the antenna in the horizontal plane.
