i saw some internet provider in USA that provides 15 mbps for only 29.95. in PH, it's only 1 mbps in that price.:(

is that true that 15 mbps is 29.95 dollars? in greece, i have a friend says it's 25 mbps for only 24 dollars or something like that...

is that true?

$30 sounds like a heck of a lot of money.

If you look round for 'deals' you can get that for £3 - £7 in the UK (If your line is capable of that speed many are not.)

In Greece you can get 24Mbps (the maximum available speed) for at about 20euros. Do the conversion to your local currency. There are offers that cost half as much, but only for the first 6 months or so.

However, you cannot get internet without a phone connection, which is usually another 10euros or more.

lightfire, I get 6MB/S download and 1MB/S upload at home (actual using speedtest, not what the providers claim is) (I also live out in the country in the middle of nowhere, people in cities can get a lot faster)

I've heard that in Switzerland or Japan you can get into the gb/s ranges
(gigabytes per second)

[EDIT]
this is what I just got, at school
