How to trigger a relay based on a resistance drop in a Push to Start Switch

If we have one signal wire that does both on the IB side, the second relay isn't connected to anything...
Thoughts?
Meaning a second button to activate only the ignition without starting the vehicle?
Or, first press of a single button switch starts motor and ignition. second press turns OFF the motor but leaves the Ignition ON, third press turns OFF ignition.

One button

first long press activates starter, and by default the ignition on.

A second long push turns it off.

here is a short video - remember - this is not the desired switch that I started this thread about.

This only shows what is in most cars since 2015 - and that it works in my application.

Will need a modification of post #42 to achieve this feature.
Why does the second push need to be long?
The push to initiate the starter circuit needs to be long too.

There is a 1 second delay to activate the fuel pump module, the fuel pump, and then finally the starter.

The Push to turn these off is same ~ 1 second.

I know there is an interim state that allows the accessories to stay on, but ignition not, that will take more digging to get the details.

If you watched the video, I have taken the intended switch and that switches' outputs for park lights and ignition on state work as intended, right along side the Nissan switch, meaning ign on the switch is low-light illuminated and when adding park light circuit - it gets brighter. In the case of the intended switch - the colors are bright and visually appealing.

Now we're getting fancier.
To be clear.
First push activates ignition relay followed by a 1 second pause before the starter relay activates.
Second push hold for appx 1 second kills ignition relay.

The one second delay is not in the Push Button, it’s in the control circuit, bcm to fpm fuel pump module

The activation we need still is instantaneous

I think what you posted earlier works

not to confuse, only to add clarity,
On the infinity box side there was an old version that had separate starter and ignition-on logic.

The 2022 version -I have - has one button start. Within the IB logic - “signal to ground” it turns on ignition-on, fuel pump module and one second later the starter.
Letting off the button the starter stops, ignition-on remains active

I think you stated this sbove

What does the second relay do meaning hook to if there is only one signal wire?
Not following the meaning of that statement.
K2 relay contacts trigger the ignition circuit
K1 relay contacts trigger the starter circuit, as requested back in post #1.

Getting confused here, "One circuit does both" what?
The circuit in post #42 activates two relays when the button is pressed.
K1 stays activated only while the button is pressed the first time.
K2 latches immediately and stays latched until a second button pressed.
Isn't this what you require?

I believe K1 is what we need

With one signal wire, the Mastercell manages fuel & ign on upon the relay signal, and stay on until pushed off

starter only when holding pushed

I might have to try both separately

I think this dual function matches a key cylinder cycle, pre 2022 style, which I do not believe are functional with One Button Start enabled.

I have the bread board will finish soldering up Tuesday

If only K1 is required the post #42 circuit is not needed.

So the K1 relay contacts connect to this Master cell?

I have confirmed 5v into pin 8, however I am getting the latching of the relay upon applying 12v, like very early in this thread.
