Get out the voltmeter and get the readings on all pins of the LM393.
Should read as below when the switch is not pressed.
Pins....2&6 3.5 volts
Pins.... 3&5 2.27 volts
Pins.... 1&7 0.2 volts
Pin8.... 5 volts
Pin4....0 volts

 

I found 0.8v at pins 1&7 nothing visual undermagnification, these also connect to a 3.3k resistor with 12v on the other side...

That indicates pins 1 and 7 are not connected to the resistor.
Or the voltage on pins 2 and 6 is less then the voltage on pins 3 and 5.

I’ll move the pin 1,7 to 3.3 Kohm connection to see if there is a change, however the other pins measured as defined above

What voltage readings did you measure on pins 2-6 and 3-5?

2,6 don’t recall now…

 

2.28 is correct.
2-6 should be at appx 3.5 volts.
Are you sure pin8 is at 5 volts and pin4 at zero?

 

Found the problem ground came loose at pin 4 after flipping

relay latches - not seeing 12volts, it flutters .00+/-

I'm using the relay above A1 A2, expecting 12v, thoughts?

 

The relay is labeled NO

when 12v is on - it is powered.
And when the board action closes latches the relay it goes to an open, 0 volt state

I tried reversing NO and COM same result

So this is opposite expected, this relay doesn’t have the NC option terminal

Thoughts on a solution?

Get the relay that has NO NC ?

The circuit is powered continuously and when the relay activates it sends 12 volts to the master control.
A master ON/OFF switch Sw2 can be added if needed.

I agree the circuit is working as intended

the relay is “labeled” as a NO relay

it’s sending 12volts with switch open

and when switch closed 0-zero volts

since it is as pictured a NO only relay to me it’s backwards or Amazon quality defect

That's a pretty big defect.
Don't connect the coil to anything and measure the resistance between COM and NO.
