a) Why doesn't the air in your room fall to the floor?
b) What could you do to make it fall?

a) Because the average kinetic energy of the gas molecules is a lot larger than the difference in potential energy between the ceiling and the floor.

b) No idea...Is it possible?

Nitrogen boils at 77.36K. At 77K the "air" is liquid. :)

In other words, we've lowered the kinetic energy to where the state changes.

The Sun keeps supplying heat. Move earth's orbit out far enough and you will get air all over the floor.
