Hello Bertus, i wil like to ask, is this receiver SSB AM? i mean what for station can pick up,
The full name of what is called SSB is actually "Single Sideband Reduced Carrier", or "Single Sideband Supressed Carrier" which is AM with the carrier either just reduced or mostly eliminated (60dB down), as well as the opposite sideband.
Previously, television signals were "Vestigal Sideband" AM, with the other sideband reduced quite a bit, in order to save bandwidth. The new digital TV signals are more complex.
