I am putting together an antenna input and audio lineout adapter for a portable radio. I'm using this schematic. My question is, what would be a good way to solder the resistors and capacitors in this circuit without using a board? Would I use very short wires to solder between the component legs or could I solder leg to leg? circuit-diargam-1366686103.jpg

When you say board do you mean any board or just PCB? You could use perfoboard, point to point wiring, terminal strips and probably a few other methods but you may not like the outcome.

What is make and model number of the portable radio?
What frequency band is the radio receiving?
Why do you want to connect an antenna to the audio line output jack?

Looks like you're trying to separate the Audio L R, and Aerial for a mobile phone or radio that uses Headphones as an antenna??

Yes exactly. It's a radioshack 12-470 portable radio. Yes it uses the headphone jack as an antenna. When connected to an external speaker the rf signal is clobbered. I am going to use a small box to put the components in, and the antenna input will connect to a coaxial dipole antenna.
