Several ideas come to mind. Are the batteries in the car ok? Is the remote working and are the remote batteries ok? Check the connections. If you have a multimeter check the continuity of the wires and the voltages from the battery to the car. Test the motor(s) in the car to see if they are working. Is there any debris in the motor gears?
Any more photos you can provide?

Photo of the underside of he board? Also, a wider shot so we can put the module (and its wiring) in some kind of context.

Usually the problem with a dead battery powered toy is the battery connection. Mostly, the battery connectors are the lowest quality metal available, Very often they corrode a bit and so there is a very high resistance caoting that prevents an adequate connection. So that is the first thing to heck, not an electronic issue.
From the photos, the next suspect is the power switch. If you have a multimeter you can remove tha batteries and check that the switch actually makes contact, because those do fail also.

After cleaning the terminals, I use sandpaper to remove the rest of the mess.
Minor point, but I much prefer Emery paper/cloth, it seems to do a better job removing rust, corrosion, paint and polishing metals
Also it does not shed the surface abrasive so easily as sandpaper.

We have not had a description of the symptom other than "not working". IF THE CAR does not respond at all, it might also be a failure in the remote control transmitter portion. Often the switches are very poor quality, and the antenna connection likewise.
On the vehicle side, often it is the wiring that can be a failure point.
