Hi guys;i have this HDD error showing some times,see pic link,

it started in Win7 and also in Win 10 TP after i upgraded.besides that everything running good.i already checked HDD cmd, chkdsk /f
and there is no errors showing.
Also the error doesn't show in Ubuntu 14.04.

Hello,

Did you try the smartmontools?
http://www.smartmontools.org/
This will give you info what is wrong with the harddisk.
It can be things like bad sectors that have been replaced automaticaly (there are a limited amount of replacement sectors), seek time, startup time.

Hi guys; update on the HDD issue; well i change to another Sata HDD,installed Win 7 and then upgraded to win 10 TP and all good,
i really don't like to deal with software or hardware Issues,too much to my head,i always like to go the easier route;
on the other HDD that had the HDD Error failing, i installed Ubuntu14.04 and no error notifications,i keep it as spare,in case i'm not given a free Win 10 RTM.

 

My laptop HDD had the same issue. It says SMART error. It is not repairable. If you somehow repair it after few days it will show you the same message. Check this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S.M.A.R.T.
