Fixing multimeter with continuity function stuck closed

Hi, thanks in advance for your help. I have an extech dmm with the continuity function (which is the part I use the most). Recently while testing voltages in a computer power supply I think I left the continuity function on. Since then the continuity buzzer wont turn off and the circuit is reading closed without the leads touching. I opened it up and noticed a transistor in there that I think may be related to my problem. I am just wondering if that component is the right place to look to fix this? Since this was my on
