Hi everyone. I have to admit that I got low technical expertise and I would appreciate assistance from you. I have a tedelex 42 inch plasma TV model ec-pd5000 that powers on and talks but doesn't display anything on the screen. It doesn't have bulged capacitors or visibly burnt components. I have some experience in dealing with electronics and electronics components, but I don't understand how they work yet and I don't understand schematics yet. Please help me with your experience in laymen terms, what should I be looking at in such a situation. Capacitors? Transistors... Or anything else? And which board should I be deal with? Power supply? Buffer board? Yboard etc. I'd greatly appreciate your help

I seem to be dealing with the Power Supply Unit. What should I most likely be looking for in a power supply unit, capacitors? Transistors? Varistors? Or anything else?
It can be tough to diagnose. A close visual inspection might reveal something, a hot spot, a broken trace, a bulged capacitor, etc. Use a good light source and a magnifying glass. It's amazing what can escape a casual look but becomes obvious with the right tools.

I've managed to fix some displays by simply replacing the power supply altogether. That's probably not an option with your plasma - but it's worth a look. The usual scheme feeds information back from the TV's computer to the power supply and that makes it hard to separate it, but again it's worth a look.

Lacking any other information, a shotgun replacement of the electrolytic capacitors in the PSU is a reasonable approach.

What colour of the led?, green or orange?
Can you measure the power supply voltages?, do you have the skills for measuring voltage during TV is on?
Are the voltages of power supply output are write en on the board?
