Please can you tell me how you would use an FET(FDV301N) to connect a battery into and out of the circuit. Basically as a relay. The battery is negative 12 V source(Li polybatt.)
Urgent help required.

What is the nature of the signal that you are going to use to turn the FET on and off? (For example, 0v - off and -5v = on)

It is a -12V dc battery.
