For the boost converter below operating in DCM mode, is the time during which inductor is deenergized (Tfall of inductor current) affected by how much load current?
I don't see how that time depends on Iload. Could you explain?
Fall time will be proportional to slope of inductor current while de-energizing (Vo - Vi)/L.
So how come it depends on Iload?[/QUOTE]
I think the equation (Vo-Vi)/L is an ideal equation. In reality, I think the output voltage is not a constant, it has a ripple. So during the fall time the output voltage (Vo) is actually changing a bit, and the amount it is changing depends on the load current.
