EHT power supply design and construction

@Aleph(0)?

It occurs to me that the circuitry under discussion (diagram reproduced below) --specifically the (circled) 'cross channel networks'-- make more sense granting consideration of the following observations:

1) Despite the very high input Z figures exhibited by the (JFET) OP-Amp devices --- Practical input impedance of each amplifier circuit is, nonetheless, contingent upon its local (gain/frequency response determining) negative feedback network...

2) Where signal ground=power supply ground (as with the case to hand), true signal 'negation' (i.e. 180° phase skew) is, of course, possible only where such does not imply steady-state inverted signal component magnitudes < 0V with respect to said signal ground --- Note that the relevant aspects of the diagrammed circuitry are, in effect, 'direct coupled' (albeit rather 'lightly' so) -- hence the necessity of limitation to steady-state solutions...

Just some idle, hopefully helpful, musings...

But again! -- I'm anything but an 'expert' Re: analysis of analog audio processing systems!:oops:

Best regards
HP

@Hypatia's Protege
So update on my connection issues is that I'm just about out of free data on Phantom (which doesn't work very well anyhow:rolleyes:) So anyhow I'm going to try _Opera_ browser (which supposedly has integral VPN) but I won't get a chance until prolly next week so plz wish me good luck:)!

As for you _young lady_ plz have a safe trip:cool:!

Ok so abt exploding pot cores!

Anyhow HP and I independently reproduced problem and it's all cuz of _parasitic_ resonance causing choke to act like tank of pwr osc under some circumstances (which causes sudden inductive heating of core shattering ferrite)! Which I say only goes to show ppl should ALWAYS wear PPE working around high energy equipment!

Anyhow o/c solution is lowering Q of decoupler ckt but for ppl insisting on _working ahead_ plz totally support inductor stack in center of 4" Dia. thick wall PVC pipe as _shrapnel shield_ in case core{s} shatters! Also cuz of rel-gaps, cores aren't totally magnetically sealed so metal shield tube is bad idea!

Anyhow I'll be back on here when I can find WORKING VPN (Opera sux cuz no matter what it thinks I'm on mobile device so I can only Left-click on left half of screen:mad:) Also they lie like _rug_ cuz Opera's _VPN_ isn't even real VPN! It's just web proxy:rolleyes:!

Anyhow I'm using last percent of my Avira VPN just to make this post! They say 500MB per month which is bad enough but it never resets even though I didn't use it! So @shortbus I'll definitely be looking at Norton 360:)! Also Firefox supposedly has experimental VPN which I'll definitely check out to:cool:!

So for ppl having questions or needing help you should know @Hypatia's Protege watches here on like once daily basis so u can just post on here and she'll respond usually within a day:)!

So anyhow just so everybody knows! We're working vry hard to get our AAC participation back to _normal_! So plz don't give up on us:(

Not to start an argument but just a comment. You seem to not flinch when spending money on this or anyother project, but want to only use a "free" VPN? For years now I've been getting my Norton products from Ebay much better prices than from Norton it's self and no problems at all. Knock on wood.:)

Yupper! I be here for all and sundry!:cool:

FWIW -- I believe @Aleph(0) 's 'problem' with paid VPNs owes to the divulgence of personally identifiable information necessarily entailed via such arrangements -- Bearing in mind that even (so-called) 'crypto-currency' is readily 'trackable'...

I stumble in and out of this thread occasionally (more like: trip over it)...

If cheap privacy is such an issue, why not just use Tor?

Thanks, Joey!

As per @Aleph(0) -- Torrents still require access via a good (i.e. 'non-logging') VPN is the 'exit node' to remain securely 'cloaked'...

Personally, I'm bound to confess my abject ignorance cluelessness on the subject:oops: -- Hence my deference to @Aleph(0) Re: 'online privacy issues' when next she deigns to grace us with her presence:rolleyes: -- What say ye, Aleph?

If anonymity is your concern, stock Tor is all you need.

If your looking to circumvent law enforcement or intelligence agencies, YMMV -- regardless of what you use.

If your looking to circumvent law enforcement or intelligence agencies...
Nothing that 'intriguing' I assure you!:cool:
Though I daresay, despite his/her comparative dearth of resources, 'your average hacker' not uncommonly runs veritable 'circles' about 'official agencies' in the ways of base chicanery --- I know I speak faithfully for @Aleph(0) with the declaration that it's about security -- as opposed to subterfuge!

Ok so Java problem was cuz of Ublock setting not Opera after all:oops:! Also since new AAC forum is totally compatible with Opera's web PROXY (not real VPN like they say:mad:!) Good news is I can participate on here again! But u know I'm still vry busy so it can be awhile b4 I'm member of _active kernel_ again.

Ok HP I'm here! So now what? Anyhow I say it's totally a matter of whether we should even bother finishing course cuz when you think on it the ppl expressing most interest don't even bother to register and the few who have just lurk w/o participating at all:mad:! HP I totally get your point abt providing proper presentation of HV/xray topics but I also say wasting time on _shrinking violet_ ingrates is just lame cuz learning is NOT _spectator sport_!

So speaking just for myself I'm totally done with tutorial until and if interested _students_ publicly reach out to us RIGHT HERE (by registering or coming out of _woodwork_) asking us to resume tutorials! So unless that happens I'm off _tutorial duty_ ! So that doesn't mean I'm leaving AAC at all! just tutorials!

Ideally not! --- But then 'The Ideal' exists in abstraction only... Moreover there is something to be said for 'finishing what we started' and, indeed, promised! -- Including --while not-necesarily limited to-- completion of the LOPT transformer prep tutorial in addition to the EHT Indicator and the Low EMF/High Current 'battery eliminator' projects...

Best regards

HP fair enough so I'm totally willing to deal:cool:!

I promise to totally return to regular participation on thread and projects AS SOON AS YOU COMPLETE FB MOD TUTORIAL! Which I say isn't asking a lot since most pix are already embedded on post and only _chapter_ left is just super low current non-res Royer test circuit for moded FBs! So when you do that I'll know you're still _into it_ and that's all encouragement I need:)!
