This comment is not precise as to details. I use 7.2 and have since it came out. Around 7.7 Eagle added links to Element 14 and some other garbage. The one thing that can be useful in 7.7 (maybe earlier) is that the traces are labeled in the routing screen. For the first time in a long time, I used that to advantage. Having that ability without the commercial links would be good. I have not installed any of the in between versions 7.4, 7.5, or 7.6.
That one infrequent advantage for me is not useful enough to warrant installing the post 7.2 versions to find it without the garbage. Albert Hall's comment (post #14) might prompt me to look at 7.5 or7.6. I don't have CNC, but it would be nice to have compatibility.
