From the article:
"They’re asking people to walk the course, if they can, but limiting golf carts to one per person, if they’re needed."
Does this mean that I can't rent one cart for each foot?
From the article:
You can test until the cows come home, but unless every damn last person is tested, you're just rolling the dice. Furthermore, cities with a high population density (like new York) are the moral equivalent of a nuclear reactor operating in super-critical mode. and just one human neutron can set off a chain reaction. That's why there's enormous commercial incentive to produce something like this:

As soon as someone produces one cheap enough, it will help enormously
About deaths from car wrecks, the government has reduced this type of death to an "acceptable level" by mandating road design, licensing, speed limits, no drunk driving, etc. to approximately 0.01% of the population. This is also the approximate level of death from seasonal flu. In the case of flu, by implementing a vaccination program. So, government invention in our lives for public health is nothing new. These efforts are all around us.Individual rights are in fact the cumulative rights of the masses and suspending civil liberties is like suspending the movement of atoms in an object. More people die in car wrecks every year than from corona virus, but the government hasn't suspended the right to drive.
Furthermore, the government's mandate for self quarantine and "social distancing" is seriously flawed reasoning. Unless you have everyone tested for Covid-19, how do you know who's been infected and know if the disease is being held in check or continuing to spread? A person can be infected and not develop any symptoms so how would that person know if it's safe to go out in public?
In order to issue an all clear proclamation and lift the restrictions, everyone would have to be tested. But without testing 100% of the population, the these wild goose chase restrictions could go on indefinitely.
We will see if it works. Remember the Netherlands was the first country to legalize assisted suicide. I am not saying this is wrong but it shows their attitude about death and dying for the aged. "Part of life" and all that stuff. What happens when younger people start to die or show serious lung damage? My guess is they will go into lock down like a lot of the rest of the world. Check back in 2-3 weeks. Here is their confirmed case graph. Not looking good for now.Hello,
Since the beginning of this week the netherlands are in an "intelligent lockdown"

Not according to this chart from an often cited site. Daily increase in cases for the Netherlands.Hello,
The RIVM said that the social distancing measure seems to take effect.
There are less new cases. They hope it will stabelize.

hi,about death and dying for the aged.
Are you replying to "Glenn Holland" or me? If me, please go back and re-read my post. BTW, my wife is an ICU nurse taking care of Covid-19 patients. Trust me, I know what's up.hi,
You seem to be assuming that this virus is only effecting people over 60+ years, that assumption is incorrect.
I appreciate the death rate indicates that an older person is more likely to die than a younger person..
but,
many young people are dying through be infected by this virus and require intensive care for a 2 to 3 weeks.
The hospital Doctors who are on the front line treating these patients keep repeatedly warning that the virus is effecting both old and young.
The Doctors/Nurse and support staff are at risk in being infected by all the the patients they are treating during the treatment period, young or old.
This is clearly demonstrated by the 14% infection of nursing staff in Italy.
To compare the death's due to road accidents to the death's caused by this virus is naive
By the way the published infection ratio is 1:2.4 , when do you think the ratio will drop to 1:1..?

In New York City, health officials said Friday that of 1,160 people hospitalized with COVID-19 symptoms, one in four were between ages 18 and 49. That squares with what appears to be happening nationwide: Across the United States, about 38% of coronavirus patients sick enough to be hospitalized were ages 20 to 54, the CDC reported last week.

Old but valid. Sorry no subtitled version that I know of.
So did the police put them into jail? Thus solving the homeless problem?https://www.euronews.com/2020/03/20...-not-staying-indoors-during-covid-19-lockdown
French police have fined several homeless people for breaching a government order to stay indoors amid the coronavirus crisis, charities claim.
I'd like to add my appreciation too. Medical staff are doing a tremendous job under very difficult conditions. I admire their dedication and selflessness.BTW, my wife is an ICU nurse taking care of Covid-19 patients.
Shouldn’t voice recognition be an easy enhancement? There are voice independent VR chips that can recognize digits readily available. I’m sure a small add-on circuit could be inserted in the control panel. They all have a speaker already that can be used as a microphone. The buttons can stay, and their lights used as a confirmation output device.visionofast said:
thinking about an elevator that works with just a hand gesture movements or maybe somthing like for infected medical equipments.
And I want to add my appreciation as well. Many family members, my girlfriends family and friends are in the medical field caring for others.I'd like to add my appreciation too. Medical staff are doing a tremendous job under very difficult conditions. I admire their dedication and selflessness.
Apparently the only way to beat CV19 is to win the lottery. Not a single State lottery place was closed.
Just like Hurricane parties.it’s people rushing to the next virus party.
Hey, here in Broward County, Florida, they are still running public buses and trains.Just like Hurricane parties.
Maybe the poor need a way to get to stores and hospitals. But I don't really know the answer.Hey, here in Broward County, Florida, they are still running public buses and trains.
I'm trying to wrap my head around that.
Edit: NYC, too.
I'm trying not to be judgmental, because I, too, don't know what the right answer is.Maybe the poor need a way to get to stores and hospitals. But I don't really know the answer.
