Convert flashing LED to constant/steady LED Light

Very limited knowledge when it comes to circuits, pardon my ignorance. I'm looking for a simple 'hack' for a paging device I just purchased.

Simple transmitter and receiver. Push a button on the transmitter, receiving device flashes an LED light for 8 seconds as well as plays a simple little chime. Kind of like a wireless doorbell - easy enough. Rather than the light on the receiver flashing for those 8 seconds, I need it to stay on as a constant/steady light for those 8 seconds. If that's possible, whats the best way to accomplish this?

Here is a picture of the circuit board on the receiver. I don't have a close up of the remote transmitter button but if that's needed, I can easily post.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Looks like the led is driven with negative pulses via R1 510r resistor, from pin1 of the chip, its possible its a Lm324, ideally you need a dvm to see where the pulses are from, it can be smoothed out with a capacitor and transistor to drive the led.
