. My life experience is people are paid based on their worth to an employer or go independent and start your own business. :)

Knowledge in your head is not a liquid asset. You need a way to extract, organize and utilize it. And even then, the only knowledge you can sell is the stuff not readily available from others. Do you REALLY have unique knowledge that's worth something to someone else? I mean, I got straight A's in college but all that knowledge I graduated with came from others and would be considered introductory by experts working in those various fields.

Finding the right job in a corporate environment is often the best way to convert knowledge to money, although it happens over years and not in a lump sum. Writing a book might be a faster, lump sum way but of course you need people to buy your book. That's not easy even if it's a "good" book. Just publishing it won't necessarily get it into the right hands.

The most satisfying knowledge-to-money converter is self employment but that requires a lot of knowledge and work in areas you may not like, such as accounting, marketing, sales, etc.

Since you are here, I believe you are already an electronics expert or at least an enthusiast. You may want to design and manufacture your own products. If you have no experience in designing PCB, you can start with KiCad.
If you are already know PCB designing, you may want to 3D print enclosures for your PCBS to make some fully furnished products.

I once saw a study of people known to be lucky and those who had nothing but bad luck. Detailed analysis revealed that the lucky ones made good decisions and the unlucky ones made bad ones. So lucky and smart might just be the same thing.
Or it might all be luck ..
