Can i control a linear actuator with SPST relay?

 

Yes, if all you want to do is energize it. If will need a spring to return it to rest when you open the relay.

Define "control".

Usually, you would use two SPDT relays. energize one or the other and it extends or retracts. Engage none or both, then nothing happens.

There is usually pulse, potentiometer or internal end of travel limit switches.

Adding your own limit switches complicates things a little bit.
