I am using a TLK2501and trying to reproduce this module on my own. It has as output, a current-mode logic (CML) differential pair that can be optimized for a particular transmission line impedance and length. I want to use/get the output via ethernet though.

Any thoughts on this?

 

Does Ethernet not require 1500 volts isolation and a common mode transformer ?
