A nice AV head-unit will fix the comm issues and provide modern media options.
I'm going to keep it stock*. It's just a Sunday car, and I bought a BT FM transmitter for tunes and hands-free.

I should point out that I didn't "realize" it didn't have Bluetooth, I just forgot. It feels like I've been using Bluetooth audio for a life-time, but it hasn't been nearly that long. Funny how the mind gets used to something -- then has a hard time going back to the old ways.

*Which is one of the reasons that 50th Anniversary placard bugs me.

We currently have a lot of stations that are at $1.699/gal, including a Sinclair that has an additional $0.20/gal if you use their app, and they let you tie that app to a credit card of your choice (you don't have to use their pay system like all the others I've looked at) and our Sam's Club card gets a 5% cash back. So that reduces it to $1.424/gal. Unfortunately, that station is too far for us to use regularly, but it's on the way to a few things we do on occasion, so we get gas there about once or twice a month.

I noticed that we're still around $3.50/gal. I don't drive much these days. The last time I filled up was about a year ago and I still have half a tank.
Wow!

If you don't mind my asking, why so little driving? Do you just stay home or within walking/biking distance of places you go? Do you use public transpo? Or ride share?

Or is it just that your vehicle has a really big tank? ;)

I had a pickup that had three 20 gal tanks, though it also had a 390 cubic inch engine that got 10 mpg -- but the thing would climb a tree.

Before the pandemic, I was only driving about 1000 miles/year after I retired. During the pandemic, I was only going out to get hard-to-get supplies during senior hours at the stores. Since the pandemic, I found that I just didn't want/need to go out much. I started driving about once a month last year just to get things (on the car) moving.

When I go out with my Wife, I drive her vehicle. But that's still fewer than half a dozen trips a year.

Public transportation is essentially non-existent in my rural area.

We're at about $2.50/gal at the cheapest stations here in northern Illinois.

66¢ of that is state and federal taxes. A few miles north in Wisconsin the taxes drop to 32¢, so we often fill up whenever we venture north.

This was linked on a dutch news site:

I know we aren't seeing gas prices explode by 70 cents a gallon anywhere around here!

Our prices started dropping significantly about two months ago, perhaps a bit longer. I expected it to be a very short term dip, the kind that happens from time to time. But the prices kept dropping fairly steadily and have now been pretty stable at that $1.70/gal point for the lowest prices for a few weeks. That's not to say that there aren't plenty of stations in the area that aren't much higher -- the highest I'm seeing is $2.799, but those typically only last a day or less at a given station and then it drops as much as 40 cents the next day (or sometimes later the same day). I can't explain the huge swings that many of the stations are going through (while other stations are locked down pretty firmly).
