Yes, you will have to know the manufacturer.Thanks for your input. It seems that marking is manufacturer dependent (ie. Coding differs from Bourns to Vishay).
So I need to sort out producer first ?
Hmm... to clarify, you can get the simple value and tolerance from the last parts of the manufacturer’s code, the rest of the information about style and whatnot are specific to the vendor.I have seen only two codes. The first is the actual value (22K) and the second is the IEC code (223 = 22 x 10^3 = 22 followed by 3 zeros).
